On December 1st, at the start of Advent, cities around the world will unite for an hour of prayer for their nations.
In London, we will gather outside St. Paul’s Cathedral. Hundreds of us.
…
Join us! Spread the word…
The Bishop of London, Richard Chartres, says:
“Prayer is the world in which God can do anything. To move into that realm is the greatest adventure. It is to be open to the infinite and hence to infinite possibilities. Our private, self made worlds, come to an end; a new world appears within and around us and the impossible becomes an everyday experience. Yet the world that prayer reveals is barely noticeable in the ordinary course of events. Hundreds of people gathering outside St Paul’s Cathedral on December 1st will give the world a positive vision of what the church exists to be and do.”
THE HOUR
7:14pm – 8:14pm
We will come from all over, all streams and all ages, carrying candles and lights of all kinds. There’ll be singing and silence, worship and witness, corporate acts and complete freedom.
A beautiful image of what the church is called to be. A visible sign of what the church is called to do.
Yet within that hour, EVERY CITY will be united at set points in simultaneous acts of corporate worship:
The Lord’s Prayer / Kneeling / Singing / Breaking Bread
Indeed our breaking bread together will be our greatest witness to hope.
Christ’s Broken Body for a broken world.
COMPLETE FREEDOM IS ENCOURAGED, BUT A POSSIBLE STRUCTURE FOR PRAYER IS BELOW. REMINDERS TWEETED ON THE NIGHT: @7_fourteen #7_fourteen
7.14 – 7.30: Justice
7.30 – 7.45: The Economy
7:45 – 8.00: Healing of the UK
8.00 – 8.14: Revival
SIMULTANTEOUS ACTS OF CORPORATE WORSHIP:
7.14 – ALL lift voices and hands together in prayer
7.30 – ALL say The Lord’s Prayer
7.45 – ALL sing ‘Spirit Break Out’
8.00 – ALL kneel for one minute in silence / ALL rise and break bread together

THE VISION
All over the world, nations are shaking.
Politically, economically, socially, environmentally.
It’s a time of great challenge and change.
In the face of such need, we can often feel powerless, wondering what difference we can make.
At times such as these, God calls his people to pray.
This is such a time. This is such a call.
This is a call to cities. It’s a call to cities to pray for nations.
Not just inside, within four walls, behind closed doors.
But outside, publicly, in the heart of every city.
A visible statement of faith.
7:14 is a vision to see ALL of God’s people released and empowered to rise up and make a difference.
To see the WHOLE Church, young and old, come together to pray for our nations and leaders.
No stage, no mics, no brands, no speaker. Just the people of God in one place at one time, with the healing of lands on their hearts.
The world is on the streets right now, rising up for change.
It’s time the Church was too, proclaiming Jesus Christ is Lord!
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
