UnitePrayer 5/12/11

The vision is to unite all the Christian societies in prayer for UCL. Speaking on behalf of the Christian Union, we really want people at UCL to see Jesus! We want Jesus to be revealed and glorified and we want to see students at UCL saved and for them to encounter him and his great love for them! To come together as the people of God at UCL, uniting under this desire to see Jesus known and to pray for this would be really powerful. It says in 2 Chronicles 7.14 that:

“If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray and seek
my face and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive
their sin and will heal their land.”

Julian of Norwich said that “Prayer is not overcoming God’s reluctance but laying hold of His willingness.” The Bible is clear that God is willing to save people so let’s lay hold of His willingness!

We will be meeting on Monday 5th December at 6.15pm in the Lower Refectory and will finish promptly at 7.00. Everyone is welcome!
