We had an amazing time in Sussex for our October Weekend Away! The next CU Houseparty won’t be until after exams, but look out for this space, because it will be awesome!

Twice a year the CU go away together for a CU Houseparty! Once in first term (October) and once in third term (the wonderful weeks after exams finish but before term officially ends) – these two weekends away are definite highlights of the year!

Why we go…

-  To unite us

-  To get to know each other.

-  To know we are all united in Christ – a common father, faith and goal!

-  Because we’re on the same team!

-  To motivate us.

-  To share the gospel with friends on our courses/in our halls.

-  To remember that the gospel is VERY important… it’s what our friends need most!

-  To think about how we can do this together/how we can help each other do this.

-  Because it’s amazing fun!

What we do…

A mix of time together praying, worshipping, listening to teaching from Gods word, and having a good time getting to know each other and laughing together! Lots of organised and disorganised fun!

We invite a speaker to the weekend who will share something with us from the Bible. We also often have seminars and/or bible studies in smaller groups. There is free time to chat, have fun and enjoy some countryside and peace, away from the hectic city of London.

It’s great to come away and remind one another of Grace, offered freely at the Cross, and to remember Christ is Lord over each part of our lives.
