Every week we have a main meeting on Monday, early morning prayer meetings on thursdays, and then lunchtime prayer meetings on Fridays.

Evening Prayer Meeting – Mondays @ 5.30pm

We have a weekly prayer meeting from 5.30pm for half an hour before the main CU meeting.

We get together because we want to commit everything to God, acknowledging His sovereignty over our lives. We want to thank Him for who He is and what He’s doing through us, and ‘in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, [to] present [our] requests to God’ (Philippians 4:6).

What?

We meet together once a week to…

1: Learn about God. A guest speaker (usually from a local church) shares with us about a Bible passage. We then discuss the talk in small groups, which is both encouraging and thought-provoking, giving us time to think about how to apply Biblical truths to our lives.

2: Praise God. There is always a time of worship in which we sing songs about God, to God.

3: Be equipped to be a Mission team at UCL. Our speakers usually make their talks particularly relevant to the challenges of being a Christian at university. We also pray together and often share our own experiences and ideas to encourage and inspire each other.

4: Get to know each other better. It’s not easy to be a Christian, especially at UCL. It is not uncommon to be the only Christian on your course, and without Christian company, it would be easy to feel alone. So CU meetings provide a great opportunity to get to know other Christians. We hope CU meetings have a really friendly, welcoming atmosphere in which everyone has the chance to make lasting friendships. We usually do something fun together afterwards as well, so if you’re free, do stick around and join in the fun.

Morning Prayer - Thursdays @ 8.00am

Every thursday, from 8.00-9.00 we will be meeting in the Lower Refectory, in the heart of UCL, to start the morning by praying for God’s kingdom to come on our campus. This meeting is open to people from all universities across London and is simply a space for us to persistently come before God. These meetings will be starting during freshers week and we will keep you updated!

Lunch Prayer Meeting - Fridays @ 1.00pm

Friday Lunchtimes we meet together for a prayer lunch from 1.00-2.00 in B.03 of the Cruciform Building.
